The Town of Parry Sound offers age-specific recreation opportunities for the youth members of the community.  For more information on youth recreation opportunities in Town, please click on the recreation program listed below.

Art Classes

Perfect for that creative child who is interested in making their masterpiece!  This program is a series of fun and educational art classes, taught by qualified instructors.  Participants will be supplied with all the materials necessary for each art project, and a healthy snack during each session.  Pre-registration is required.

Ages: 6 - 13

Where: Bobby Orr Community Centre, 7 Mary Street, Parry Sound, ON, P2A 1C8


  • Session 1: Wednesdays, Oct. 4 - Oct. 25 (2017)
  • Session 2: Wednesdays, Nov. 8 - 29 (2017)
  • Session 3: Wednesdays, Jan. 17 - Feb. 7 (2018)
  • Session 4: Wednesdays, Mar. 21 - Apr. 11 (2018)
  • Session 5: Wednesdays, Apr. 25, May 2, May 16, May 23  (2018)

Time: 6 - 7:15 PM

Cost: $50 per session (4 classes in a session), or $15 per class

Making Music with Guitar

Learn basic guitar chords, and build foundations for song writing in this informal introduction to guitar.  This program will help participants learn to follow along with their favourite covers.  Participants must bring their own guitar.  Pre-registration is required.

Ages: 13-18

Where: Bobby Orr Community Centre, 7 Mary Street, Parry Sound, ON, P2A 1C8

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, Mar. 13 - 29 (6 sessions)

Time: 4:30 - 6 PM

Cost: $60 + HST

Waubuno Beach Swim Program

Come to Waubuno Beach and learn to swim in beautiful Georgian Bay!

Waubuno Beach offers group and private lessons for all levels and ages of swimmers through our Red Cross and Lifesaving Society programs. Our instructors are qualified and enthusiastic about promoting water safety in, on, and around Georgian Bay!

Our sessions run in 2 week blocks and there are 4 sessions in a summer.
