Development Charges By-laws and Background Study
Take notice that on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Parry Sound, pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, will hold a public meeting to present and obtain input from the public and stakeholders on the municipality's proposed development charges (D.C.) by-laws and underlying background study.
Development charges are fees levied against new development and are a source of funding to provide for municipal services and infrastructure needed to support growth.
All interested parties are invited to attend the Public Meeting of Council and any person who attends the meeting may make representations relating to the proposed D.C. by-laws and background study. The meeting is to be held:

52 Seguin Street, Parry Sound, ON P2A 1B4
The background study has been made available online at the municipality's website on December 28, 2022.
Interested persons may express their comments at the public meeting, in person, by video conference, or in writing, addressed to the municipal Clerk, Rebecca Johnson, at the above address or by email at rjohnson@parrysound.ca received prior to noon on Thursday, March 2, 2023. All written comments received will be placed on the meeting agenda for Council and public information. Please register with the Clerk by email if you wish to make presentations at the public meeting or by video conference.
The agenda for the meeting will be available by 4:30 PM, March 3, on the Town's website.
