On May 4th, 2021, Council passed By-law 2021-7125 being a By-law to amend the Parking & Traffic Control By-law 2019-6912 regarding the Champagne Street Boat Launch overnight parking and parking on Salt Dock Road.
Amendments to this By-law include:
- No parking on Salt Dock Road from Marion Avenue to the Salt Docks. Please use roadside parking spaces beside the trail or the Salt Docks for parking.
- No overnight parking at Public Docks and Boat Launches with the exception of Champagne Street Boat Launch where you may park between 11:00 pm-5:00 am with a permit.
- Please visit the 'Boat Lauch' page on our website to obtain your overnight parking permit.
- No parking of unattached trailers at Boat Launches.
- No boat trailers permitted at roadside parking spaces on Salt Dock Road between Georgina and the Water Treatment Plant.
Council also passed By-law 2021-7126 being a By-law to regulate the use of Public Docks, Piers, and Boat Launch Ramps and revoking By-law 2010-5470.
Regulations to this new By-law include:
- Maximum 1 hour docking at all Public Docks except the Shoppers Dock.
- Shoppers Dock still has a maximum 4 hour docking.
- No commercial use of Public Docks or Boat Launch without a permit. Please contact By-law Enforcement or Public Works to apply for a commercial use permit.
