Rezoning & Official Plan Amendment - 70 Joseph Street

Take notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Parry Sound will hold an electronic public meeting (via Zoom) on Tuesday July 6, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. to consider a proposed Official Plan Amendment and a Zoning By-Law Amendment under Sections 22 and 34 of The Planning Act, as amended.  Due to the current restrictions on public gatherings because of COVID-19, this meeting will not be held in person but will be an electronic meeting, unless determined otherwise.  Please contact staff if you wish to participate in the meeting.

The applicant has requested to change the designation from District Commercial to the Joseph Street Mixed-Use designation and change the zoning of the property to a Mixed-Use Special Provision.  The intent is to permit a variety of commercial and standalone residential uses.  A copy of the proposed Official Plan Amendment and further details can be obtained by contacting Town staff.

The lands are known as 70 Joseph Street and described as part of Lots 8, 9 and 31, and Lots 10-11 and 28-30 of Plan 149, or more particularly described as Parts 3 and 5 of 42R3846.
