Bobby Orr Community Centre

The Bobby Orr Community Centre is a fully accessible community centre, boasting an ice surface, a hall, and a meeting room.

Located at the end of Mary Street, the facility is a hub of on-ice activity from September - April. In the off season, the ice surface hosts commercial trade shows and various events including indoor sports and concerts.

The rental rooms are home of many activities and events including the weekly bridge club, the Shriner's annual wild game dinner, 4-H Club activities, and many special events including the Yuk Yuk's tours, Wellness Fairs and the Optimist Club of Parry Sound's Breakfast with Santa.

COVID-19 Update

(March 22, 2021) - In accordance with the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit being placed in the Yellow Zone of the provincial re-opening framework effective March 22, 2021, recreation programming and room bookings at the Bobby Orr Community Centre will continue with the restrictions outlined below. 

Under the restrictions mandated by O. Reg. 364/20 under the Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020, S.O. 2020, c. 17, facility usage will be subject to restrictions such as:

  • Occupants are limited to a number whereby each occupant can maintain social distancing of 2-metres up to a maximum of 50 persons in an indoor meeting space.
  • Physical distancing between participants of at least 2-metres in all facility rentals.
  • No more than 6 people may be seated together at any table in the rental space.
  • Masks are required to be worn by patrons at all times while in the facility.
  • Patrons must complete the COVID-19 Facility Screening Questionnaire before entering the building.

Facility Screening

All patrons who enter the Bobby Orr Community Centre are asked to complete the COVID-19 screening questionnaire prior to entering the facility.  Upon entry, patrons must confirm they have completed the screening questionnaire and are not experiencing any COVID symptoms.  Please only fill out the questionnaire on the day you are planning on entering the facility for scheduled ice or room usage.  A link to the online screening document is posted below:
