The ice rink offers heated bleacher seating for over 700 people as well as 2 heated viewing areas - one on the main level and one on the second level.

The ice pad is 185 x 85' and has 8 fully accessible dressing rooms and a referee change room.

The ice pad is home to various adult recreation hockey leagues as well as the Parry Sound Hockey Club (youth hockey), and the Parry Sound Skating Club.

In the off season, the ice pad surface hosts commercial trade shows, events including indoor sports as well as major concerts.

COVID-19 Update

(September 14, 2021) - In accordance with the Province of Ontario's Roadmap to Reopen announced on May 20,  certain activities and amenities are permitted to reopen to the public.  As of July 16, 2021, the Province of Ontario has entered Stage 3 of the reopening plan.  For complete restrictions see the Provincial webpage.

In accordance with Stage 3 of the Roadmap to Reopen and under the restrictions mandated by Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020, S.O. 2020, c. 17, recreation programs and room bookings at the Bobby Orr Community Centre are permitted with certain capacity limits and restrictions.

As of September 22, 2021 and under O. Reg. 364/20 Rules for Areas at Step 3 and at the Roadmap Exit Step, patrons entering the Bobby Orr Community Centre must provide proof of full vaccination that meets the requirements of the provincial legislation.

This web page will be updated as new information surrounding the reopening of the Bobby Orr Community Centre is made available.

Facility Screening and Vaccine Certificate Protocol

All patrons who enter the Bobby Orr Community Centre are asked to complete the COVID-19 screening questionnaire prior to entering the facility.  Upon entry, patrons must confirm they have completed the screening questionnaire and are not experiencing any COVID symptoms.  Please only fill out the questionnaire on the day you are planning on entering the facility for scheduled ice or room usage.  A link to the online screening document is posted below:
