While in Parry Sound be sure to visit our Amazing Places, hike up the Lookout Tower or take a walk along the Rotary and Algonquin Regiment Fitness Trail, and enjoy spectacular sunsets along the granite shores.

Enjoy the clean, pure waters of the Georgian Bay. Boat, fish, swim, paddle, play or sail, it's all possible in Parry Sound.

Parry Sound boasts traditional winters! You can snowmobile for kilometers on groomed trail, skate and toboggan at the Kinsmen Park or ice- fish on the bay. Parry Sound has it all, the choice is yours!

COVID-19 Update: Parks OPEN, Beaches and Equipment CLOSED

What park amenities are open?

-Outdoor sports facilities and fields including baseball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis, basketball courts and the skate park.

-Off leash dog park

-Outdoor picnic sites, benches and shelters in park and recreational areas

Individuals using these amenities, except for members of the same household, are required to maintain physical distance of at least two metres or six feet.

What will remain closed?

-Playgrounds, play structures and equipment

-Fitness trail equipment

-Waubuno Beach & Centennial Beach (Old Town Beach)

-Park washrooms

Can we play sports in parks?

Individuals are not permitted to play team sports, such as soccer or baseball, even on fields intended for this purpose unless they are members of the same household.

Can we host gatherings or events in parks?

No, individuals are not permitted to have gatherings or events with  more than five (5) people.  Individuals using parks are required to physically distance unless they are member of the same household.

How do we stay safe while using outdoor recreational amenities?

Everyone using these outdoor recreational amenities is required to physically distance from anyone who is not in their household.  This means staying 2 meters or 6 feet away from other people. 

If you arrive at a park, and it is crowded, you should wait until there is enough space to physically distance or return at another time.

Individuals should use hand sanitizer to clean your hands while out, wash your hands as soon as you get home and stay home if ill.
