BOCC HVAC Installation Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
On Friday September 8, 2023 at 10am, a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held for the $240,000 Community Building Fund Capital Stream grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) that was used to purchase and install seven (7) new HVAC Units at the Bobby Orr Community Centre. This important equipment upgrades at the Community Centre was completed in August 2023 and will provide improved air quality throughout the Centre for years to come.
“This investment by the Ontario Trillium Foundation to purchase and install HVAC units at the Community Centre is great news for the Town of Parry Sound,” said Graydon Smith, MPP for Parry Sound-Muskoka. “Many in the community will benefit from this as it will improve the overall health of the building”.
The Community Centre is used by a variety of community organizations for sport, recreational activities, meetings, celebrations, conferences, and events. Thanks to the $240,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium foundation, people will be able to continue make safe use of the facility.
“The impact of this Ontario Trillium Foundation grant cannot be overstated,” said Mayor Jamie McGarvey. “This grant has allowed needed renovations to be made to better service our community. This funding made the purchase of the new units possible”.
