2022 - 2023 Culture, Parks, and Recreation Master Plan

Recognizing the importance of Culture, Parks, and Recreation on our residents' Quality of Life, Council has identified the development of a Culture, Parks, and Recreation Master Plan as a priority in its 2020 - 2030 Strategic Plan. The goal of the Culture, Parks, and Recreation Master Plan is to assess and address the needs of recreational programming for all ages in Parry Sound.

Through community consultation and research, the Culture, Parks, and Recreation Master Plan will identify action items and a strategic path forward in the following areas:

• Parks, open spaces and trails.
• Recreation, sport and cultural facilities such as the Bobby Orr Community Centre, Charles W. Stockey Centre, and the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame.
• Programs, events and activities (including those delivered by the community and Town).
• Operations (such as policy development, staffing, communication, maintenance standards, etc.).
• Financial and implementation strategies.
