Notice - Water Service Interruption October 16 & 17

The Town of Parry Sound would like to advise residents some water services will be briefly interrupted on Thursday, October 16, 2025 or Friday, October 17, 2025 (weather dependent), between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the area of Victoria Avenue, Glen Avenue and Ethel Street. The interruption is required to facilitate construction of new water services being connected to the new water main. The water service will be interrupted for approximately 15 minutes, with the Contractor providing advance notice by door-to-door notification to the impacted residents.

Public Advisory: Canada Post Service Disruption

As of September 25, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has launched a national strike. As a result, Canada Post operations may be disrupted, which could affect mail delivery to and from the Town of Parry Sound.

Property owners and residents are reminded that they are still responsible for paying property tax, water/wastewater bills, and any fines or infractions by their respective due dates, regardless of postal service interruptions.

Water bills were mailed out on September 22 for metered customers on Routes 4, 5, 6, and 8. If you have not received your bill, please contact our office at 705-746-2101 to determine the amount due.

Bills for metered customers on Routes 1, 2, 3, and 7 will be produced on September 29 and will be available for pick-up on September 30.

Payments can be made through online banking or in person at the Town Office, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cheques may also be dropped off in the secure drop box located at the main entrance of the Town Office.

The Town encourages all residents to sign up for the Property Tax and Water/Wastewater Pre-Authorized Payment Plan, which can be accessed through the Town’s Property Tax page.

Asset Management Open House

The Town of Parry Sound invites you to to join us for the Asset Management Open House on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the Bobby Orr Community Centre.

Doors open at 6:30 pm, with the presentation beginning at 7:00 pm.

Consultants from PSD Citywide Inc. will share highlights from the recent Community Engagement Survey and explain how your feedback is helping to shape the Town’s Asset Management Strategy Plan.

The event will also feature Live prize draws and light refreshments will be served.
