Civic Scholarship 2025 - Applications Now Closed

Congratulations to the 2025 recipient, Sophia Jordan-Healey

Each year, the Town of Parry Sound is proud to support one local student with this annual Civic Scholarship. This $500 award recognizes the hard work and dedication of a resident pursuing post-secondary education.

If you have a permanent home address in the Town of Parry Sound and will be entering your second year at a Canadian college or university this September (with at least a 60% course load), you could be eligible.

Deadline: Submissions must be received by Friday, August 29, 2025, at 12:00 noon.

Eligibility Criteria

As per eligibility criteria established by Council Resolution 2022-073, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

• have a home address in the Town of Parry Sound
• have completed their first year at an accredited university or college; 
• have enrolled in their second year at an accredited university or college
• have a minimum 60% course load as of September of the current year.

How to Apply 

To apply for the Civic Scholarship, please complete the online form by Friday August 29, 2025 at 12:00 noon. 

All applications will be reviewed by our judging panel, and one exceptional student will be selected to receive the $500 Civic Scholarship.
