Blasting Notice - Champagne Street - August 7th & 8th

Please be advised that blasting will take place at 101 Champagne Street to support the construction of a new Sanitary Pump Station. All blasting activities will be conducted in accordance with regulated vibration limits. 

Safety precautions during all blasts include:

• Adherence to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations governing the use of commercial explosives and blasting safety 
• Use of standard rubber blasting mats to prevent the possibility of fly rock and to protect the public, workers, properties, structures and utilities 
• Site access during work hours will be controlled by the blaster-in-charge
• Blasting operations will occur periodically only during regular working hours, Monday to Friday in compliance with Town of Parry Sound's noise bylaw
• Standard blasting sirens, including an all-clear signal, will be sounded prior to initiation and following the completion of each blast. The siren will be audible within a 1 km radius
