Applications to the Civic Scholarship Award Now Open

One Local Parry Sound Student to Receive $500 Civic Scholarship Award

The Town of Parry Sound is inviting eligible local students to apply for the annual Civic Scholarship, a $500 award recognizing the dedication and achievements of residents pursuing post-secondary education.

The scholarship is open to students who:

• Have a permanent home address in the Town of Parry Sound
• Will be entering their second year at a Canadian college or university as of September 2025
• Are enrolled in at least a 60% course load

“All applications will be reviewed by our judging panel, and one exceptional student will be selected to receive the Civic Scholarship,” said Mayor Jamie McGarvey. “It’s one of the ways we invest in our youth and help support their academic journeys.”
