Public Advisory: Canada Post Service Disruption

As of September 25, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has launched a national strike. As a result, Canada Post operations may be disrupted, which could affect mail delivery to and from the Town of Parry Sound.

Property owners and residents are reminded that they are still responsible for paying property tax, water/wastewater bills, and any fines or infractions by their respective due dates, regardless of postal service interruptions.

Water bills were mailed out on September 22 for metered customers on Routes 4, 5, 6, and 8. If you have not received your bill, please contact our office at 705-746-2101 to determine the amount due.

Bills for metered customers on Routes 1, 2, 3, and 7 will be produced on September 29 and will be available for pick-up on September 30.

Payments can be made through online banking or in person at the Town Office, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cheques may also be dropped off in the secure drop box located at the main entrance of the Town Office.

The Town encourages all residents to sign up for the Property Tax and Water/Wastewater Pre-Authorized Payment Plan, which can be accessed through the Town’s Property Tax page.

Ontario Senior Achievement Award

The Town of Parry Sound is now open to receiving nominations for the Ontario Senior Achievement Award

Eligibility

The person you nominate (the nominee) must:
•    have contributed to the Town of Parry Sound community after the age of 65 years
•    be a resident of the Town of Parry Sound
Seniors who qualify for this award may have contributed to many different fields such as the arts, literature, community service, volunteering, education, environment, fitness, and humanitarian activities.
You cannot nominate:
•    yourself
•    someone who has passed away
•    someone currently holding political office
•    elected federal, provincial, municipal representatives or political appointees
If you know an exceptional senior (65+) who is making significant contributions to our town, nominate them today!
Deadline for submission is Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 4:00 PM.

Submit your digital nomination form to rjohnson@parrysound.ca or drop off a completed, printed hardcopy to the Clerk, Town of Parry Sound, 52 Seguin St, Parry Sound ON P2A 1B4 by the deadline.

Printed Nomination Forms will also be available for pick up at the Town Office, Public Library, and the Senior's Centre.
