Street Sweeping Starting

Spring is here, Parry Sound - and the roads are finally clearing up! 

After a long, snowy winter, our crews used significant sand and salt to help keep roads safe and drivable. As the snow disappears, that material is left behind on roadways, shoulders and in the gutters. 

What's next? Street sweeping.

Over the coming days and weeks, you'll see our sweeper trucks out in full force cleaning up winter sand and debris to help improve driving conditions, drainage and overall road cleanliness. 

A few helpful reminders:

• Please avoid pushing yard debris (leaves/soil/gravel) onto the road or into catch basins. 
• Keep parked vehicles off the street when sweepers are working in your area to help crews do a thorough job.
• Expect dust and short delays near active sweeping - thank you for your patience and caution around equipment.
