The 2025 Order of Parry Sound

Do you know someone who has made a difference in our community?

All residents of and contributors to the Town of Parry Sound are eligible for the Order of Parry Sound - our community's highest honour of achievement. While the Mayor of the Town of Parry Sound, who is the Chancellor and Principal Companion of the Order approves the final appointments, it all starts with the public taking the time to nominate someone who through their volunteer actions, deserves this special recognition.

The motto for the Order of Parry Sound is They Desire a Better Community. The Town of Parry Sound has been honouring award recipients for enriching the lives of others in our community since the Order first began in 2001.

To nominate

1. Click here to download a nomination form or pick up a printed copy at the Town Office or Public Library.

2. Submit the completed nomination form with any supporting documentation either by -

• dropping it off at the Town Office reception desk (52 Seguin St.), or
• sending it via email to rjohnson@parrysound.ca 

Deadline for submission is Monday December 8, 2025, at 4:00 PM 

An independent Advisory Council evaluates nominations and recommends candidate(s) to the Mayor. Not all nominations are necessarily awarded the Order. Nominations are kept confidential.

Please note: Serving federal, provincial and municipal politicians and judges are not eligible, and no posthumous appointments are made.

The 2025 Order of Parry Sound will be awarded at the Mayor's annual New Year's Levee on January 4, 2026 at the Stockey Centre.
