Town of Parry Sound to Host 70th Annual OSUM Conference
PARRY SOUND, ON (March 26, 2026) — The Town of Parry Sound is pleased to welcome municipal leaders from across Ontario as host of the Ontario Small Urban Municipalities (OSUM) Annual Conference, taking place April 29 to May 1, 2026, at the Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts.
This year’s conference marks OSUM’s 70th anniversary, a milestone that underscores OSUM’s long-standing role in supporting and advocating for Ontario’s small urban municipalities—communities that connect urban and rural Ontario and contribute significantly to the province’s economic and social vitality.
“On behalf of the OSUM Board and Town Council, I extend a warm welcome to all those attending the 2026 OSUM Conference in Parry Sound. I look forward to a fantastic program with engaging speakers, relevant topics and quality networking opportunities, all set against the backdrop of beautiful Georgian Bay." - Jamie McGarvey, Mayor of Parry Sound & OSUM Chair.
The 2026 OSUM Conference will bring together municipal elected officials, senior staff, and sector partners for curated programming and networking opportunities designed to help leaders navigate the evolving political, economic, and social environment facing communities today. Sessions will highlight shared challenges and opportunities experienced by small urban municipalities, which often balance both urban and rural realities.
The Town of Parry Sound looks forward to welcoming OSUM delegates and showcasing the Town’s commitment to municipal leadership and partnership.
