Urgent Registration Announcement: Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross Programs at Risk of Cancellation
The Town of Parry Sound's Parks and Recreation Department is issuing a last call for registrations in our essential Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross programs. Registration numbers are currently below the threshold required to run these critical courses, which are the foundational steps towards becoming a certified lifeguard.
Programs Affected:
- Bronze Medallion (August 5 - August 8): Aimed at providing lifesaving, first aid, and water rescue skills, this program is essential for aspiring lifeguards.
- Bronze Cross (August 11 - August 15): Building on the Medallion skills, this course further enhances rescue techniques and water safety knowledge.
Registration Deadline:
Thursday, July 31
Aspiring lifeguards and community members interested in developing key lifesaving skills are encouraged to register urgently to prevent these programs from being canceled. These courses provide participants with the knowledge and competencies required to ensure water safety, contribute to community welfare, and pave the way toward exciting career opportunities as certified lifeguards.
