Opportunity for Questions/Comments

On March 7, 2023, Town Council held a public meeting to receive comments on the completed Development Charges Background Study. The Background Study is consistent with the most recent provincial legislation and supports Council’s philosophy, that growth should pay for growth.  The background study was posted on December 28, 2022 and is available online at the municipality's website.

The By-law to implement development charges was proposed to be considered by Council on March 21, 2023. Council deferred considering the By-law until May 2, 2023, in response to requests from the development community for additional time to review the Study and provide comments.

The Town welcomes comments on the Background Study. Please submit your comments/questions prior to March 28th, 2023. The input received will be considered further in the analysis that will be undertaken by Watson and Associates and form the basis of the May 2, 2023, report to Council.
