Notice of Public Meeting - Community Improvement Program Amendment

Take notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Parry Sound will hold a public meeting on Tuesday August 11, 2026 at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers at the Town of Parry Sound’s Municipal Office, 52 Seguin Street (Gibson Street entrance) to consider a proposed Amendment to the Town of Parry Sound Community Improvement Plan. The purpose of the public meeting is to provide the public with an opportunity to understand and comment on the proposed amendment to the Community Improvement Plan.  

The proposed amendment would enable a Tax Increment Equivalent Grant (TIEG), subject to specific eligibility criteria, set as a percentage of the increase in the municipal portion of property taxes over a defined number of years. The proposed grant would apply only to private rental developments with 10 or more units, with the incentive phase-in period to be determined.
