Canada Day Office Closure & Waste Collection

The Town of Parry Sound Municipal Office will be closed on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026 for Canada Day.

Due to fun Canada Day festivities in the downtown on July 1st, waste collection for James Street (between Mary Street and Seguin Street) is postponed to Thursday, July 2nd.

This change only applies to James Street (between Mary Street and Seguin Street).

All other July 1st waste collection will continue as scheduled.

Please be sure to have your waste out by 7:00 a.m.

The Transfer Station is closed on July 1st, 2026.

Temporary Road Closure – Parry Sound Road

The Town of Parry Sound advises residents, motorists, and pedestrians that Parry Sound Road, from Emily Street to Forest Street, is closed until fall 2026 to accommodate infrastructure upgrades. 

Emily Street remains accessible via Great North Road.

The Champagne Street boat launch will remain closed for the 2026 season. 

Please follow posted detour signs and avoid the area where possible. 

The Town of Parry Sound thanks the public for its patience and cooperation during this work.
