Great North Road will be closed from Birch Avenue to Emily Street for a duration of two weeks starting Monday, August 25th, 2025. This closure is necessary to ensure the completion of critical infrastructure work.

Motorists are kindly encouraged to pay attention to posted signage and utilize alternative routes including Forest Street as indicated by detour signs.

Transfer Station Labour Day Weekend Hours

The MacFarlane Street Transfer Station will be following the hours below for the Labour Day weekend:

Friday August 29th : OPEN 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Saturday August 30th: OPEN 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Sunday August 31st: OPEN 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM

Monday September 1st: CLOSED for Labour Day

Tuesday September 2nd: CLOSED

Wednesday September 3rd: OPEN 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Thursday September 4th: CLOSED
