June is Recreation and Parks Month!

Join the Parry Sound Parks Adventure Passport this June. Explore local parks, complete fun activities, and collect a sticker package at the end of the month. 

At a glance: 

  • Passport pick up begins: Tuesday, May 19
  • Passport pick up locations: Town Office & Parry Sound Public Library
  • Explore all 12 locations: June 1-30
  • Sticker pick up begins: Saturday, June 27 at Waubuno Beach
  • Prize draw deadline: July 15

2026: Parry Sound Parks Adventure Passport

Celebrate June is Recreation and Parks Month with the Parry Sound Parks Adventure Passport! This month-long challenge invites families and "fellow explorers" to discover the magic in our own backyard through a series of fun activities and site visits.

How to Participate: 

Pick up your free passport: Grab your official Adventure Passport and get ready to visit 12 local spots, including Waubuno Beach, The Rugged Shore Trail, and Tower Hill Heritage Garden. Passports will be available for pick up as of Tuesday, May 19.

Pick up locations:

  1. Town Office, 52 Seguin Street, Monday-Friday: 8:30am-4:30pm
  2. Parry Sound Public Library, 29 Mary Street, Tuesday-Thursday: 10am-7pm, Friday: 10am-5pm, Saturday, 10am-2pm.

Visit locals parks in June: Throughout the month of June, lace up your shoes and head to our local parks to complete the unique "Explorer Prompts" and checklists. 

Record your discoveries: Use the passport to draw what you see, answer questions about your discoveries, and record your favorite park memories. 

Pick up your sticker package: Beginning June 27, visit Waubuno Beach between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and show your completed passport to the Lifeguard Team. They will provide a sticker package to put the finishing touches on your passport.

Enter the Grand Prize Draw: When you collect your stickers, you can enter your name for a chance to win an exciting prize pack. All entries must be submitted by July 15, 2026.

  1. Be Kind: Respect the plants, animals, and fellow explorers you meet.
  2. Be Curious: Look under logs and try new things.
  3. Be Safe: Always keep your adult "big explorers" in sight.
