Gentle Fit is a one-hour class designed to offer:

• Low impact movement
• Strength training
• Mobility exercises
• Flexibility drills
• Balance exercises

Our program focuses on engaging all major muscle groups—including the brain, lungs, and heart—through aerobic movement and the use of resistance bands.

Program Information: Pickleball Court Rentals

Experience the Excitement of Pickleball at the Bobby Orr Community Centre. Our courts are available for rental, offering a fantastic opportunity to enjoy this dynamic sport with friends and family.

Participants:

• Maximum of 8 people per court

Included Equipment:

• Balls, paddles, and nets

Rental Requirements

• Footwear: Indoor shoes must be worn by all players.
• Scheduling: Rental dates can be approved up to two weeks in advance.
• Request Submission: Please submit requests 1-2 business days prior to ensure timely approval and avoid disappointment.

Pricing

• Rate: $15.00 + HST per hour
• Included: Cost includes insurance coverage

The Town of Parry Sound has partnered with the Alzheimer's Society of Muskoka to offer the Minds in Motion program.

Minds in Motion is a community-based social program that incorporates physical and mental stimulation for people with early to mid-stage Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia and their care partners.  Through the 8-week Minds in Motion program, both the person living with dementia and their care partner can benefit from the following:

• Increasing physical activity through gentle group exercise.
• Establishing new friendships with others who are living with similar experiences.
• Engaging in fun, social activities.

Minds in Motion

Drop-In Passes provide an opportunity for participants to drop-in to 10 approved programs. Drop-In Passes eliminate the need for participants to bring cash with them to programs, and shortens the necessary sign in components upon arrival. 

Drop-In Passes are available for purchase online, or at the Town Office at 52 Seguin Street, Parry Sound. 

Drop-In Passes are $20.00 + HST.

All equipment is provided for our drop-in programs. Participants should bring clean, indoor running shoes. 

Pickleball is a game similar to tennis, plated on a smaller court with paddles and a wiffle ball. Pickleball offers participants a terrific workout and social opportunities.

Floor Curling is a modified version of the Olympic sport of Curling, with one major difference - no ice! It offers participants a great introduction to the game, or a way to continue your love of the game, beyond the ice surface.

Line Dancing sessions at the Bobby Orr Community Centre are temporarily canceled. We are actively searching for a replacement instructor and are committed to resuming classes as soon as possible.
