May 28: Spring Awakening: We will explore the garden and woods to see how the plants and wildlife wake up in spring. We'll check for frogs in the natural and man-made ponds and learn about their life cycle. We will also plant annual flowers in the Children's Butterfly Garden and take some home.
June 25: Summer Solstice: As the sun reaches its highest point in the sky and summer begins, we will notice the difference between plants growing in the open sunshine and in he shade of the forest. We will check to see if there are still tadpoles in the goldfish pond, visit the frogs in the frog pond and check up on the flowers we planted in May in the Butterfly Garden. At the end of our time together we will go up the Tower to see where the sun is in the sky as it is going down.
July 23: Our Soil is Full of Life: We will take a close look at the soil in the woods and garden and learn about how dead trees and plants are turned into rich soil to support the circle of life. We will check in on our friends in the pond and end our evening with the setting sun.
