11:30AM: Address by Mayor McGarvey: Mayor McGarvey will kick off our festivities with a speech. This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our community spirit and national pride together. 

Join us for an unforgettable celebration as we light up the sky in honor of Canada Day! Prepare to be dazzled by a breathtaking fireworks display over the inner harbour, commencing at 10:00 PM. 

Volunteer Opportunities for Canada Day 2026 Celebrations

Be an integral part of our Canada Day festivities in Parry Sound by volunteering! Contribute your time and skills to help us deliver a memorable event for our community. 

Flexible Commitment:

Whether you can volunteer for a few hours or the entire day, your contribution is valuable. We welcome individuals who can assist in short durations as well as those interested in committing to longer sessions.

Volunteer Roles:

1. Greeter Guru: Be the friendly face that welcomes guests and provides information at our main desk.
2. Game Master: Spread smiles and guide participants through our fun carnival games.
3. Inflatable Defender: Keep the excitement bouncing in our inflatables area, ensuring fun and safety for all.

Apply to be a Vendor at the Town of Parry Sound's Canada Day Celebration!

The Town of Parry Sound is inviting Craft Vendors and Food Vendors to apply for our Canada Day Celebration on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, on James Street in Downtown Parry Sound.

Vendor applications must be submitted by Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Successful applicants will be notified by email.

Vendor Fees

• Craft Vendor Space (10' x 10') – $50 + HST
• Food Vendor Space – $100 + HST

Event Schedule

• Set-Up: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
• Event Hours: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Take Down: After 4:00 p.m.

• In Person Application: click here to download an application form to be submitted at the Town Office, 52 Seguin Street, Parry Sound. 

Important Information

• Vendors requiring power must provide their own generator. Electricity will not be available on site.
• Signage must be professional in appearance and must not interfere with neighbouring vendors or event operations. 
• Food vendors are responsible for meeting all North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit requirements and for obtaining any approvals, permits, or inspections required for food service. 
• No refunds will be issued for cancellations after June 14, 2026.
