Births, Deaths and Marriages

Do you need to apply for a birth, death or marriage certificate? Visit either Service Ontario or Government of Ontario to apply on-line for any of those certificates. They can answer all your questions about the online certificate application process.

Application forms are also available at the Town of Parry Sound municipal office.

You can apply for these certificates after the event has been registered with the Office of the Registrar General in Thunder Bay. The certificates are issued by Service Ontario.

Birth Registration

Do you need to register a birth? Contact the West Parry Sound Health Centre at 705-746-9321.

Death Registration

The Deputy Division Registrar for the Town of Parry Sound registers deaths which occur in our area. Registration is done locally and then sent to the Office of the Registrar General in Thunder Bay for registration provincially.

Marriage Registration

To be married in the Province of Ontario you must first get a Marriage Licence.

Cemeteries

The Town of Parry Sound owns and operates two (2) municipal cemeteries: Hillcrest Cemetery & Sylvan Acres Cemetery
