Closed Meeting Investigations
Municipal Government: Accountable & Transparent
The Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, Section 239, identifies that except for reasons specified in the legislation, "all meetings shall be open to the public."
If you believe that a closed meeting did not meet the criteria set out in the legislation justifying its closure to the public, you can request an investigation. Review the information at the links below to initiate an investigation. All complaints are treated confidentially and are forwarded directly to our third-party, arms-length, closed meeting investigator.
